Boost Your Revit Workflow with My Insights

June 15, 2026 Cherisse Biddulph

If you’ve ever wondered how to work faster in Revit, whether you’re using the right tools, or what kind of training would actually help you improve, the My Insights tool is a feature worth paying attention to.

My Insights is a built-in Autodesk tool that analyzes how you use Revit and turns that information into practical recommendations. Instead of guessing what to learn next or which tools you might be missing, My Insights highlights opportunities to save time, improve efficiency, and build better habits based on your real workflow.

Who Can Access My Insights?

  • Individual users can view their own insights directly inside Revit or through Autodesk Account.

  • BIM managers and team leads can review insights for their entire team by logging into Autodesk Account, navigating to Home, and selecting See all team insights under Team Insights. This makes it easier to identify training needs, workflow inconsistencies, or opportunities for standardization across a team.

What You’ll Get with My Insights

My Insights presents information in easy-to-read cards that focus on specific aspects of how you work in Revit. Here’s what those insights include:

Usage Summaries

See which tools and commands you use most often and which ones you rarely touch. This helps identify habits that may be slowing you down or tools you might be overusing when better options exist.

Feature Recommendations

Based on your modeling behavior, My Insights suggests Revit features you aren’t currently using but could benefit from. These recommendations are tailored to your workflow; they are not generic tips.

New Command Suggestions

If Revit detects that you’re completing tasks in a less efficient way, it may recommend specific commands or workflows that can help you work faster and with fewer steps.

Learning Opportunities

Many insight cards link directly to Autodesk help articles, tutorials, or videos. This makes it easy to learn a feature right when it’s relevant, instead of searching through documentation on your own. Within each card, you can click the Learn more button to access more information.

How to Get the Most Value from My Insights

My Insights works best when you actively review and apply the recommendations that matter most to your projects. You don’t need to use every suggestion; focus on the ones that align with your role, deadlines, and modeling responsibilities.

The more you engage with the insights over time, the more accurate and useful the recommendations become. Think of My Insights as an ongoing feedback loop that helps you continuously improve how you work in Revit.
