Changes to the Default Quick Access Bar for AutoCAD 2027 Products

What Happened to the Web & Mobile Commands in 2027 AutoCAD-Based Products?

A subtle but curious change occurred in the Quick Access Bar of AutoCAD-based products (such as AutoCAD Map, Architecture, Plant 3D, and Civil 3D).

In the 2026 versions, the Quick Access Bar contained two icons for managing drawings in the cloud, via “Web & Mobile.”

One allowed you to open drawings, the second to save drawings to the cloud. The commands were “OPENFROMWEBMOBILE” and “SAVETOWEBMOBILE”.

But in the 2027 version of the software, these two icons are no longer there.

The ability to open and save drawings via the web is changed and now involves Forma Data Management (formerly known as Autodesk Construction Cloud).

However, when you start typing in either OPENFROMWEBMOBILE or SAVETOWEBMOBILE, the AutoComplete feature will find the command, but when you accept that command, there is a curious lag in the software’s response and then eventually it returns to tell you it is an Unknown command.

What This Means for AutoCAD 2027 Users

The ability to transfer drawings to the web (or cloud) has changed in 2027 AutoCAD-type programs. One can no longer use the OPENFROMWEBMOBILE or SAVETOWEBMOBILE commands. They have been discontinued and removed from the Quick Access Bar (even though the AutoComplete feature will still find the command).
